Professor Marcia Langton has sought to link arguments made by the No campaign to “base racism or just sheer stupidity.”

Marcia Langton has launched a stunning attack on critics of the Voice to Parliament amid a slump in the polls ahead of the referendum.

The prominent Yes campaigner, and key Voice architect made the above comments while speaking in Western Australia last Sunday.

Her comments were splashed on the front page of the Bunbury Herald, with the heading “RACIST OR JUST STUPID: Voice author slams the No Campaign”.

The local newspaper reported that about 100 people were at the event, which was held at Edith Cowan University’s South West campus.

The Voice to Parliament looks set to fail at the referendum on October 14th.
